As a director of Finance you are responsible for managing the financial operations of the hotel to ensure the security of hotel assets. Report to GM’s and owners on financial state of hotel and make recommendations to improve hotel profitability. You will maximize the financial performance of the hotel by providing a financial and purchasing strategy and ensuring all legal aspects of the business are completed accurately and timely. Serve as primary contact for all hotel financial – and accounting-related issues with owners, auditors (internal and external) and regulatory agencies.
This is the top Accounting job in a large full service luxury lifestyle hotel. Typically supervises clerical accounting employees in a full range of functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit/Collections, Purchasing, Audit, Payroll, and Accounting Operations.

Your passion and drive will lead your team to deliver on a much better environment and ways of working, as well as getting involved and out and about with the neighbours as part of community projects. You need to work with your team and your neighbours to develop and deliver on these projects.
Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting, Finance and 4-8 years in hotel accounting or audit with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Knowledge of accounting management duties such as negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns, etc. as needed or requested. Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred. Speaks and writes fluent Dutch and English, another language is always a plus.
