The Toren Hotel (4*) is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel in the dynamic heart of Amsterdam. The Hotel has recently become part of the chain Pavilions Hotels & Resorts, resulting in new management and a new fresh start.
Our highly trained team and hotel size allows us to surprise our guests with a personalized experience, time after time. We offer our guests the right balance between professional and casual service by understanding and proactively addressing the guests’ needs. Although we have different departments, our team spirit extends throughout the entire hotel. We help each other where needed in order to provide the best possible service.

 
What are you going to do?

We are looking for a full-time Financial Assistant to support the of The Management of Pavilions Hotel The Toren
 
Your duties will include:
 
Responsible for the bookkeeping of 3 entities.
Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and accurately entered into the accounting systems.
Maintain accurate and current AP and AR records.
Review and process account payable invoices for payment.
Process cash disbursement and cash receipts.
Undertake cash and bank reconciliations.
Compilation and production of month-end owner reports, confirming the accuracy of financial data.
Balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Serve as point of contact for hotel staff, General Manager and Group Finance Director on accounting. 

Who are you?

You are meticulous and accurate, a good team player and you enjoy working in an international, welcoming environment. You are energetic and proactive, and you do everything you can to get your work done on time. You have an affinity with automated systems and you are an expert in figuring out and solving financial issues. You have recently completed a relevant financial education (MBO/HBO). You have experience in the financial sector, and you live in (or near) Amsterdam.
 
You also recognize the following characteristics:
Analytical and with an eye for detail
Structured and accurate
Proactive
Fluent in English and Dutch
Strong and reliable communication
Knowledge of financial systems (preferably Sun Systems)
Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures
Experience with MS-Office software (especially Excel & Excel Q&A)
Affinity and/or experience with HR processes is a plus
