Do you love delivering inspirational service? As a Assistant Financial Controller for two hotel locations (approx 400 rooms), you will support the senior financial controller in determining the right (financial) direction by providing strategic & financial analyses on business related challenges.

Main role and objectives:
As and Assistant Financial Controller you will be part of the local hotel finance team, which consist of a cluster of two or multiple hotels, and you are the right hand of the senior financial controller.
You will support in the weekly and monthly planning cycle, closing the books monthly, prepare several analyses, raise control awareness and assist in the finance team with day to day tasks. As finance is going through a transformation process currently, you will help the senior financial controller in setting the structure and implement processes.

Job role responsibilities below:

• Accounting: Oversee and assist in the production of monthly management accounts. Assist the finance team with their day to day tasks where required
• Business Strategy: Coordinating and proactively taking part in the periodic planning cycle (weekly and monthly forecasting) under the guidance of the senior financial controller.
• Performance Management: Assist in analysing the entire performance of a hotel based on financial metrics that have been aligned with the local hotel management team. Measure the effectiveness of end to end processes and identify new business information needs based on financial, operational and external data sources.
• Process improvements: Contribute in the finance team to improve controls and implement business processes. Proactively suggest ideas that make processes more effective and efficient.
• Knowledge development: Proactively develop own skills and knowledge in the area of business control. Able to transfer knowledge to less experienced professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
• General Management: Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports, projects, and office duties and liaise with third party business contacts.
• Contribute to the overall growth of the department by coaching en providing feedback to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerk.



What we are looking for:
• Successfully completed a bachelor degree in finance
• 2-4 years of experience in controlling or finance management
• Preferably in a Business to consumer “B2C” environment
• The ability to work with tight deadlines
• Open-minded, enthusiastic and true team player
• Hands on mentality
• Has desired impact and influence on others in all forms of communication and communicates well on different levels.
• Resilient
• Has an eye for not only the needs of the business but also the people in it: business and people sensitive
• Pro-active
• Experience in a changing business environment is preferred
