Hilton The Hague is looking for a new Back of House Coordinator!

You will be the one who will be responsible for the acceptance and control of all incoming deliveries, maintaining an optimal goods inventory, correct storage, and issue of goods. So if your friends and family call you a true organizational Queen/King and you like to have contact with a lot of people during the day, then this is the job for you!

What you will be doing:

As Back of House Coordinator you will be responsible for the purchasing, receiving, and storage of goods and equipment on the basis of the purchasing provisions and regulations of Hilton Worldwide;
  • Monitor inventory and adherence to the stocks;
  • Buy goods and material at the right price, in the required quality and volume, and at the right time, subject to contracts in Birch Street;
  • Daily commissioning of goods for the operative areas and working closely with the hotel departments and ensure these are accurate and complete;
  • Inform the Finance Manager of stock discrepancies, death stock, and out-of-stock items.
  • Keep costs for damage/disappearance to a minimum;
  • Adhere to the ordering and receiving schedule and ensure all orders are placed and received in a timely fashion;
  • Administer serving equipment and consumables and use the hotel computer system for the efficient keeping of inventories of these items;
  • Ensure all logs are up to date for “goods in” , “ transfer” and “goods out”;
  • Do regular checks on inventories, avoiding excessive stocks beyond budget and loss of goods, and carry out monthly inventory audits;
  • Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods in respect of volume, quality, and quantity, and ensure these are stored conform stock rotation;
  • Being the one that performs excellent customer service to our internal/external guests;
  • Various back-of-house activities;

We are looking for someone who:
  • Financial knowledge and ability to work with budgets;
  • Good time management and organization skills;
  • Team player, positive and flexible attitude, and a strong eye for detail;
  • Good communication skills; Dutch and English are required; 
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments;
  • Committed to delivering a high level of service.
  • Experience within the hotel/leisure sector.
  • Experience in a similar purchasing role.
