Hotel Security Officer/Security Officer

As Hotel Beveiliger/Security Officer you have a very diverse function within Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam, because you are responsible for the safety and health of guests and employees.
You will report directly to the Assistant Security Manager and you will be part of a close-knit, enthusiastic and motivated team.
Do you want to work and learn at the same time? While you work, you can take the MBO Beveiliger 2 course, which we will reimburse.

The role as a Hotel Security Officer/Security Officer includes many different tasks, but below you can read more of what to expect:
- Monitoring (of procedures)
Nothing escapes your attention, you keep an eye on everything through the 70 surveillance cameras to keep guests and staff safe. You know how to handle security tasks in the hotel, such as lost property, fire, theft, burglary and accident prevention, key management, enforcing house rules and keeping unwanted persons out.
- Expert
You know exactly which Safety & Security procedures are in place within Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam and implement them accurately. You can advise on security risks and know exactly what to do in case of an evacuation or providing first aid.
- Cooperation
You will be in close contact with various departments and you will give or receive support where necessary, such as checking small fire extinguishers. You will work together in a team of 5 security guards and will work flexible shifts in day, evening and night shifts. During the night shift between 23:00 and 07:00, you will also take over doorman duties.
- Keep your head cool
You can stay calm under stressful situations and know how to take the lead in emergencies. In case of emergencies, problems and breakdowns, it is your job to coordinate and report the events.

What are we looking for?

• In possession of a security guard 2 diploma or follow training for this, which will be reimbursed by us while you work
• If you are already in possession of a diploma, that you have at least 1 year of work experience as Hotel Security Officer / Security Officer where you can provide at least 2 recent references with impeccable behaviour
• Proof of good behaviour (VOG)
• Service-minded attitude
• You are available on average at least 3 days a week in a predetermined monthly schedule
• Computer literacy in the most common Microsoft Office programmes. (Word, Exel, PowerPoint)
• In possession of driving licence B
• Willing to work alternating shifts, including weekend and night shifts
