LOCATION: Amsterdam – High amount of travel
As our Sous Chef you support the Executive Chef in designing F&B concepts and you develop and implement new F&B concepts for existing and new hotels aligned with the EHPC brands strategy. You work in partnership with the Executive Chef in developing agreements to create and initiate new F&B concepts and menus. Together with the F&B Operations of EHPC hotels, you ensure culinary delivery and strategies are achieved, sustained, or corrected in order to drive guest engagement and successful financial performance. Other responsibilities are:
  • Managing the Chefs to ensure that they are all are aware of EHPC standards and carry out their jobs in line with those standards.
  • Working with Openings Support team to ensure all culinary related critical path items are accurate and maintained, and, that all Chefs in attendance are provided with appropriate knowledge to train others.
  • Providing culinary support throughout each EHPC hotel’s Pre-Opening stage and is in attendance and leading culinary elements of each “Countdown” process.
  • Helping to coordinate all aspects of the culinary development process internal to EHPC, including presentations, site inspections, market feasibility studies and projections.
  • Managing, building and engaging in relationships with onsite team, suppliers, venue client and other stakeholders. 
You can deliver the culinary level that creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return and you can give each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience. As you will be in contact with many kitchen teams, you present yourself as an inspirational and motivating leader. You go above and beyond to accomplish your responsibilities and have excellent time management skills.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management;
  • At least 5 years’ experience as multi property Sous Chef at high standard trendy brands;
  • At least 10 years of culinary experience (preferably in Boutique hotel chains);
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and bags of enthusiasm;
  • Strong culinary network and understanding of local and international hotel and F&B landscape;
  • Willing to travel and stay/work abroad for periods of some weeks/months.
