Algemene informatie

Regional Housekeeping Manager performs within the limits of the PPHE Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), all duties connected to all housekeeping services & supervision of all external HK contracts to our external, internal & VIP guests, suppliers & partners. Ensuring guests are satisfied by delivering a personalised high standard of customer service & cleanliness. Ensuring colleagues are satisfied by creating a strong & fair culture. To achieve financial (promoting sales & managing costs) & responsible business goals. 

We are looking for an Regional Housekeeping Manager who:
  • Responsible for all hotels in The Netherlands, it is a regional role. Head office will be located at Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport* (*subject to change). Although, travelling between the hotels is necessary to maintain a smooth cooperation and execute tasks.
  • Controls all costs including labour and cleaning supplies yet ensure services all cleaning services are of the highest standard with staffing at optimal levels as per contract.
  • Checks invoices and working closely with General Managers from the different properties, Finance department and external suppliers, to include external HK supplier and linen company.
  • Manages relationship with external HK contractor in cooperation with procurement and General Manager. Controlling costs, quality, and efficiency to make sure everything we are doing is compliant with contract.
  • Assists in the setting and achieving the hotel housekeeping budgets. This will be achieved by having a comprehensive understanding of all housekeeping departments P&L, payroll, and supplier costs.
  • Ensures the specific KPI’s both quality and productivity are established, monitored, and improved regularly upon.
  • Manages and administer all HK operations to include, but not limited to, use of systems and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy, and procedure implementation.
  • To liaise with and foster good working relationships with relevant suppliers and where necessary a nominated relief agency, dealing with all enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Stakeholder management with the VP Operations NL and the hotel GM’s.
  • Completes tasks relevant but not limited to guest, employee, administrative & supplier & HK cleaning cycles liaising with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction, cleanliness & achievement of external contractors metrics & contractual obligations.
  • Communicates effectively with both internal and external guests & suppliers & suppliers (including hotel colleagues) via written correspondence, phone, technological platforms and face to face.
  • Engages with colleagues, guests and suppliers i.e. confidently relaying hotel facilities or internally held meetings, consistently exhibiting appropriate service behaviour (such as greeting, eye contact, using names, personal presentation & grooming standards); Relating to EW to ensure they feel part of the hotel team & encompass PPHE values.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when personalising external and internal guest’s needs and the changing demand and priorities of the business.
  • Creates a welcoming atmosphere and personalised service for each individual external and internal guest having an eye for detail and responding appropriately to guest, colleague and leadership feedback.
  • Actively contributes to your immediate as well as wider hotel team, uses all forms of communication appropriate for each situation and displays positive and open body language. Identifying opportunities and improvements to ways of working whilst being solution focussed to operational needs of the hotel.
  • Provides Leadership through leading by example, clearly communicating both operational & strategic information, ongoing customer feedback, ensuring team members are trained & developed, empowering your team and providing an inspiring service culture through briefings, team meetings, allocation of resources, Opera, handovers and supervision of the team and close liaison with external contracts. Being present at key busy times.
  • Shares best practice with regards to efficiency, profitability, productivity.
  • Whilst our external company has responsibility for management & development of their teams through planning & execution of holidays, payroll & rotas, recruitment, induction, training, appraisals & performance management of their teams - close liaison in terms of business forecasts, spot checks, i-auditor, regular meetings is required.
  • Be an active member of the HOD team and regional team.
  • Ensure that all activities are following national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Groups operating policies, processes and procedures. Management of Linen & use of hazardous (cleaning) materials is key too.
