We are looking for a enthusiastic colleague to join our IT team!
 
Our IT department is clustered for the Netherlands EVENT hotels portfolio, among which are brands by Accor (11), IHG (2) and Bilderberg (12). The department is situated at the Event Hotels Office in Amsterdam South-East.
 
What does the position entail?
The goals of the job are to provide professional and efficient support of all users of our hotel group in case of problems and questions about the used IT and to increase the IT competence and thus creating added value for the enterprise. Also, the aim is to increase the quality of support by higher accessibility of the service desk, sustainable documentation and practicing a solution-oriented working method.
 
To achieve this, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Incident Management (as soon as possible the recovery of the working environment)
- Development of workarounds
- Problem management (participation in appropriate solutions and implementations)
- Prioritize and track incidents and problems on their own responsibility
- Receipt, processing and management of telephone and written support requests and entry into the current ticket system
- User system (Active directory, PMS systems, eAsys and other databases)
- Development and implementation of solutions and workarounds in 1st level support
- Output of work equipment by prior definition (laptops, thin and fat clients, smartphones, tablets etc.)
- Help with application questions
- Active use of the supports options of the contract partners
- Creation and processing of documentation and instructions
- Processing of the daily correspondence taking advantage of the available tools
- Cooperative and communicative behavior towards colleagues
- Compliance with Event Hotel Group standards
- Compliance with IT department policies and procedures
- Compliance with and implementation of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)
- Information sharing and sharing with the IT department and with the affiliated locations
- Failure to disclose internal data, both personnel, financially and economically, to non-third parties or unauthorized employees of the company
- Discreet handling of information of the departments and third parties
- Responsible and economical use of the work equipment and materials provided
- Participation in internal meetings
- Participation in internal and external training and further education and subsequent implementation in practice 

Competencies and job requirements:
- Self-employed in the job description
- Take appropriate measures to ensure a smooth workflow within the IT department in the absence of supervisors
- IT experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of the Dutch language is preferred 

Working hours
The working hours are set in advance used by a team roster. Flextime or similar is not scheduled.
Core working time is between 08:00 – 19:00 (8 hours). Further office hours are adjusted to the company’s needs.
