For the Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam hotel we are looking for a Manager on Duty at the Front Office.
You’re passionate, focused and driven about making every guest’s experience ‘ridiculously personal’, making their stay unforgettable, in all the right ways.

You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests.
Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you will be out in the front of the house, leading from the front. You are responsible for your team, who the guests first interact with, so it’s key that you know your stuff.
You will need to use your great communication skills and build strong relationships with the other teams to ensure our guests' stay is seamless and effortless.
It’s a physical role and although there are the usual meetings and briefings, you will be on your feet most of the day out and about in the hotel chatting with your guests and your team, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can.

We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential.
As a key manager of the team you need to know your guests and their preferences. You need to ensure you and the Front Office team provide the ‘wow’ factor to all of them when they enter the hotel. You need to ensure they receive a heartfelt welcome and make sure everything is just right and exceeds their expectations. You need to bring that personal touch to their stay.
Before they even enter the hotel, you and the Front Office team will be making a difference to their stay through a seamless booking experience and making sure you know everything about their stay before they arrive. This is how you will exceed their expectations from the moment they arrive. First and last impressions count and you’re responsible for making these memorable, for all the right reasons.
You’ll make sure the front desk is in pristine condition. You are part of the first team our guests meet. Your team will check them in, check them out, make sure their bill is accurate. All done with that special personal touch.
Yes we have standards and procedures that everyone in the team has to follow, but it’s down to you to make their stay special and memorable.
