Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager!
Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is a welcoming place, where guests find uncomplicated experiences in a casual atmosphere. Our hotel has 330 rooms, 6 spacious meeting places and an inviting restaurant. We welcome guests from all over the world, whether for business, group travel or leisure.
We are looking for an easy-going and flexible person, dedicated to creating remarkable connections during the daily interactions with guests and colleagues.  As Assistant Front Office Manager, you are part of the Front Office Team, leading approximately 15 Front Office Hosts and 3 Team leaders. You will report directly to the Rooms Manager.
  • You will be responsible to provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service in order to create memorable guest experiences at the Front Office;
  • You conduct regular departmental communications briefing and meetings;
  • You are responsible for maximizing the employee productivity but still meet the guest expectations;
  • You will guide hosts and team leaders in complaint handling and take action accordingly to prevent future complaints;
  • You maximize the effectiveness of employees in close cooperation with the Rooms Manager by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring and supporting them in their professional development goals.
  • You optimize the enrollment contribution to the World of Hyatt loyalty program on a daily basis and ensure targets are met;
  • You optimize the upsells performance of the Front Office and identify improvement areas and take action;
  • You identify process improvement to achieve financial and service goals;
  • You ensure that the team has the supplies needed to operate on a daily basis, as well as ensuring that guest supplies are available at all times;
  • You will assist the Rooms Manager in taking care of all Front Office administrative related tasks.

  • You have great language skills in English and preferably Dutch as well;
  • You are eligible to work in the Netherlands;
  • You have a minimum of 2 year experience as Front Office Team leader or similar role in the hospitality industry;
  • You have excellent communication skills, can multi task and have attention to details;
  • You have experience with OPERA Property Management Systems;
  • You are flexible working in different shifts (morning, evening and weekends)
