JOB OVERVIEW

Support the Commercial team with the coordination of all activities to deliver and maximize revenues. Ensure agreed company sales systems and procedures are in place

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial team.
  • Assist in the compilation of all reports, presentations, site inspections & co-ordination of sales & marketing activity.
  • Database handling.
  • Resolve enquiries / requests from clients, hotels and other sales colleagues.
  • Communicate and liaise with key customers via telephone and e-mail.
  • Have responsibility for all administrative systems & procedures in the commercial office.

Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in the service industry.
  • High competence in using IT to manipulate data.
  • Pro-active approach, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and administrative skills (in Dutch and English).
  • Ability to be self motivated, organised and demonstrate good team work.

Key Metrics
  • Support Sales Team in achievement of revenue and RGI targets for the hotel.
  • Achievement of hotel sales plans.
  • Achievement of research and appointment calls target.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
  • Attends any promotional/cocktail party organised by the Hotel.
  • Carries out any reasonable request made by management.

GENERAL DUTIES
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the management.
  • Is fully knowledgeable with the hotel's fire and bomb procedures.
  • Make sure that his/her working area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Responsible for reporting immediately to the Director of Sales & Marketing or deputy anything this is to be considered a health and safety hazard.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, posture and conduct.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This is the top sales and marketing job in a full- or limited-service hotel and may include meeting space and/or catering facilities. May manage professional-level and administrative sales team members.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Marketing or related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Speaks and writes fluent Dutch and English and preferably another language.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiar with Luxury Networks and maintains a high profile within trade and professional associations dealing with his/her sales area.
