Are you looking for an PR & Communications internship, then we may have this fantastic opportunity for you. In our young and dynamic team you will have the opportunity for you to learn how PR & communications is done at the Amstel Hotel. You will assist with creating social media content, handle requests, work with influencers, be present when photoshoots are taking place in the hotel.

You will be supporting the commercial team in designing collateral, updating the hotel website and external platforms. Throughout your internship you will understand how PR & Communication is an important factor and you will help driving results.

  • Manages social influencer visits and partnerships, creating unique and inspiring content creation opportunities.
  • Produces monthly social media reporting document(s)
  • Regular social media engagement response and addresses reviews within one business day.
  • Remains up-to-date on new social media platform launches, new features of current platforms, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Handling of different telephone calls (provide basic information of the hotel to guests/clients).
  • Monitoring and follow up review sites.
  • Creation of Email banners.
  • Updating menu’s in Indesign.
  • Assist with for content of digital newsletters including measurement of results.
  • Responsible of and reporting on the online PR & Communication tools of the hotel & restaurants.
  • Various projects in Marketing and PR.
  • Responsible for updating photography in image library.
  • Manages user-generated content and curation platform.
  • Manages and monitors content on all other partner digital websites.
  • Carries out any reasonable request made by management.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English are a must a third language preferential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of quality and creativity and affinity with copy writing.
  • Must write with consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Social Media expert and savvy.
  • Knowledge/affinity in editing photos and video content.
  • Highly proactive behaviour and time management skills.
  • Maintains professional behavior and decorum in alignment with corporate and property culture and goals.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office products, Photoshop and InDesign (preferred).
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the management.
  • Is fully knowledgeable of the hotels safety procedures.
  • Participates in the emergency evacuation of guests in event of fire, bomb threats and other emergency situations.
  • Make sure that his/her working area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Responsible for reporting immediately to DOSM or deputy anything this is to be considered a health and safety hazard.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, posture and conduct.
