Algemene informatie

The Regional Housekeeping Manager will perform all duties associated with housekeeping services within the confines of our PPHE Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), overseeing all external HK contracts for our external, internal and VIP guests, suppliers and partners .
Maintaining guest satisfaction by providing high personal standards of customer service and cleanliness. Ensuring colleagues are satisfied by creating a strong and fair culture. To achieve financial (promoting sales and controlling costs) and responsible business goals.
We are looking for a Regional Housekeeping Manager who:
  • Is responsible for all hotels in the Netherlands; it concerns a regional role. The base is located at Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport* (*subject to change). Travel between the hotels is necessary to ensure smooth cooperation and complete tasks correctly.
  • Keeps all costs under control including labor and cleaning supplies whilst still ensuring all cleaning services are of the highest standard.
  • Checks invoices and works closely with the managers of the various hotels, the finance department and external suppliers, including the external HK supplier and the linen company.
  • Manages the relationship with external HK contractor in collaboration with purchasing, managing costs, quality and efficiency to ensure everything we do is in accordance with the contract.
  • Assists in establishing and achieving hotel housekeeping budgets. This is achieved by having a comprehensive understanding of the profit and loss account, payroll and supplier costs of all housekeeping departments.
  • Ensures that specific KPIs, both quality and productivity, are established, monitored and regularly improved.
  • Manages and administers all HK activities, including systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory management, department management, policy and procedure implementation.
  • Maintaining contacts and promoting good working relationships with relevant suppliers and, where necessary, a designated support organization, whereby all questions are handled in an efficient manner.
  • Stakeholder management with the VP Operations NL and the General Managers of the hotels.
  • Completes relevant tasks such as guest, employee, administrative, supplier and HQ cleaning cycles, and liaises with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction, cleanliness and achievement of third party contractor metrics and contractual obligations.
  • Communicates effectively with both internal and external guests and suppliers (including hotel colleagues) via written correspondence, telephone, technological platforms and face-to-face.
  • Interacts with colleagues, guests and suppliers, i.e. communicating hotel facilities or internally held meetings with confidence, and consistently demonstrates appropriate service behaviors (such as greeting, eye contact, use of names, personal presentation and grooming standards); Relationships with EW to ensure they feel part of the hotel team and embrace the PPHE values.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in personalizing the needs of external and internal guests, and the changing demands and priorities of the business.
  • Creates a welcoming atmosphere and personal service for each individual (external and internal) guests with an eye for detail and responding appropriately to feedback from guests, colleagues and leadership.
  • Actively contributes to your immediate and wider hotel team, uses all forms of communication appropriate to each situation and demonstrates positive and open body language.
  • Identify opportunities and improvements in the way of working while being solution-oriented to the operational needs of the hotel.
  • Provide leadership by leading by example, communicating clearly on both operational and strategic information, providing ongoing customer feedback, ensuring team members are trained and developed, empowering your team and providing an inspiring service culture through briefings, team meetings, resource allocation, Opera, handovers and supervision of the team and close cooperation with external contracts. Be present at important busy moments.
  • Shares best practices related to efficiency, profitability and productivity.
  • While our external company is responsible for the management and development of their teams through planning and execution of holidays, payroll and rosters, recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and performance management of their teams - close collaboration on business forecasting, sampling , i -auditor, regular meetings are required.
  • Is an active member of the HOD team and the regional team.
  • Ensure that all activities are in accordance with national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Group operational policies, processes and procedures. Management of linen and use of hazardous (cleaning) materials are also crucial.
